The third and final webinar in the series Construction goes circular – with sustainable wood gives you informal conversations between 6 invited experts in the field. Topics for the session will be about the main barriers towards more circularity in the construction sector, how to overcome them and what role wood will play in the future of construction. By mixing different areas of profession and knowledge we want to give you a broad insight to the area of Circular Economy and Construction.

Aasmund Bunkholt – Managing Director of Trefokus, Norway
A carpenter and wood technologist, Aasmund Bunkholt has sustainability and wood at his deepest heart. He devotes most of his time to Trefokus, a national information and development centre on wooden construction and sustainable urban development. Rest of time Aasmund divides time as assistant professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), assistant professor at Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and as key driver in several projects and initiatives within construction and urban development sector.

Anri Lindén – Head of Detailed Planning of the City of Turku, Finland
For Anri Linden, sustainability is a passion. She has been working with wooden buildings and architecture more or less her whole career. For example she has been developing a method for detailed planning to measure its carbon footprint and has been promoting circular economy in cities. Recently, Anri has worked in detailed planning leading the Eastern Helsinki for almost a decade.
Mikko Leino – CEO of Puurakentajat Group, Finland
In his work, Mikko Leino wants to solve problems related to climate change and build homes and buildings where people feel good. He is a carpenter by education and has graduated from Aalto University's Executive MBA (EMBA) i.e. business management master's program. Puurakentajat Oy, founded in 2006, is Finland's most experienced builder of large solid wood projects.
Åsa Lindell – National project manager Climate Change at Byggföretagen, Sweden
Åsa Lindell is the Project Manager for Climate Change at Byggföretagen, the industry organization representing approximately 4,000 construction and engineering companies in the Swedish construction market. She holds a degree in Ecosystem Engineering. In her role, Åsa works on the implementation of the "Roadmap for Fossil-Free Competitiveness," a collaboration aimed at achieving a climate-neutral, competitive, and profitable construction and engineering sector by 2045.
Kristine Nore – Research Manager at Omtre, Norway
Kristine Nore has wide experience in both science and business within timber industry. She holds a PhD in building physics, specialized in wood and is currently associate professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her working experience spans from timber research to and CLT production. Kristine has been project leader of several research and innovation projects.
Jørgen Tycho – partner of OsloTre, Norway
Jørgen Tycho is an architect and founding partner of OsloTre, a consultant agency within the areas of architecture, timber design and construction technology, specializing in timber constructions. Jørgen has been involved in many prominent building projects; most recently HasleTre, a spectacular 3000 sqm office building project designed with circularity at its heart with extensive use of wood.
